About M

I retired five years ago from my corporate career to attend to my health and family. I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a breast cancer survivor. Leaving behind the stress of the corporate world was my first step to getting well. I then discovered complementary medicine which led me down a path to better health and nutrition, alongside beautiful natural surroundings that present conditions vital for my physical and spiritual healing.

Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to forge relationships with others "close to home" on Whidbey Island. My lifestyle network has grown into a myriad of friends, neighbors, colleagues, and acquaintances, all sharing and caring for each other in community and with respect to the world's greater good.

As a nearly 30-year resident of the Island, I wanted to share my knowledge and experience of living Whidbey Island in a community online magazine. Most important are the people that I have met and worked and played with over the years. The Island is abundant with riches: a vast populace of writers, artists, holistic natural practitioners, and other mind/body/soul specialists living and working on this beautiful Pacific Northwest Island.

It is with intention that I've created this site as a forum for sharing these riches with you whom, for whatever reason, have chosen to make this your home. If you are seeking the type of information and services presented here, I welcome you to explore the blogs and participate in the community through offerings of your own stories and unique way of Living Whidbey Island.
