Community

When I think of the Island, I think of community - people and families who live, work, worship, and attend the local schools. Whidbey is a magical place full of natural beauty, ambiance, and above all a deeply caring community.

Community can be the physical areas that surround us, our neighborhood, our local towns and villages, churches, shops and restaurants. Everywhere we go we have an opportunity to reach out to someone in our community with a smile, a nod, and a little chattering of good will.

It is also the spirit of fellowship - a purpose that brings us together, our shared values, interests, and goals. To be in community is to delight in love, friendship, and camaraderie. We gladly lend a helping hand to our neighbors in need, for community is the heart and soul of home, where ever that may be for you… It's what connects us to each other.
